An outdoor kitchen for a covered patio
Sheltered settings are our preferred starting point for an outdoor kitchen. A roof or canopy can make the cooking and preparation area more comfortable, while the cabinet palette connects it with the surrounding architecture. Share photographs showing both the roof and the open sides; a covered location can still receive wind-driven rain.
A custom outdoor kitchen with a canopy
A canopy can be discussed alongside the cabinetry as part of the project supply. We first need the footprint, intended height, supporting structure and site conditions. Agree the kitchen and canopy scope together, including installation responsibilities. A canopy is not automatically included with every kitchen.
Cooking beneath a roof
The selected cooking equipment determines whether and how it may be installed beneath a covering. Review the manufacturer’s instructions for ventilation, overhead and side clearances, heat and exhaust before deciding positions. A roof does not turn an outdoor appliance into an indoor one, and a sheltered space still needs the specified airflow.
Open terraces and rooftop spaces
For exposed settings, we review materials, joints, drainage and protection around the actual conditions. On a rooftop, the project team must also assess access, support, wind conditions and how services reach the kitchen. Site suitability cannot be established from cabinet dimensions alone.
What to include in your brief
Send roof and terrace dimensions, photographs, site location, the intended appliances and any existing drawings. Describe seasonal use and the exposure you expect. We can then develop the layout and confirm materials and equipment as one plan.
