Begin with how you want to use the space
When deciding how to plan an outdoor kitchen, start with meals and movement. Who usually cooks, how many people gather, and where will food be served? Separate essentials from occasional uses. A grill, sink and clear preparation area may be a better starting point than filling every cabinet position with equipment.
Record the site, not just the kitchen footprint
Measure the available width and depth, note changes in level, and photograph the surroundings. Include doors, windows, posts, drains and furniture. Record the route from the delivery point to the final position, including narrow passages. Indicate a proposed canopy or existing roof on the sketch.
Plan water, power and fuel around the appliances
List each appliance and obtain its installation instructions. Show existing water, waste, electrical and fuel connection locations. The model-specific requirements determine cut-outs, ventilation and service access. Use the responsible local trades to verify the final connection design; a preliminary cabinet sketch is not a services installation drawing.
Choose materials for the actual exposure
Tell us whether the site is sheltered, fully exposed or close to the sea. Consider cabinet structure and worktop separately, then decide colour, door style and hardware. Confirm samples, the intended surface finish and maintenance requirements before approving production.
Prepare a brief that can become a drawing
Include your location, dimensions, photographs, preferred layout, appliance list, material direction and target schedule. Identify which items you want YUZE to supply and who will coordinate work on site.
